Stanley is looking for a passionate Wine Waiter to join our team at Howard Smith Wharves. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to build their knowledge, develop their service skills and take the next step towards a career as a Sommelier.

At Stanley, we’re all about great food, exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests. Located at Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane, Stanley is a modern Cantonese restaurant with a buzzing atmosphere, beautiful river views and a team that genuinely loves what they do.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing knowledgeable and engaging wine service to our guests
• Assisting with wine recommendations and helping guests discover something new
• Presenting and serving wine with confidence and attention to detail
• Supporting our Sommelier and restaurant team throughout service
• Learning about our wine list, regions, producers and varietals
• Assisting with wine preparation, stock and cellar organisation
• Creating memorable guest experiences through genuine and passionate service
• Building your wine knowledge through hands-on experience and ongoing learning

What we are looking for:

• Has a genuine passion for wine and wants to build a career in the industry
• Is curious, eager to learn and excited to expand their wine knowledge
• Has hospitality experience, ideally within a quality restaurant environment
• Is confident speaking with guests and enjoys sharing their knowledge
• Has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in their service
• Is motivated to develop into a Sommelier
• Brings great energy, personality and a willingness to learn
• RSA Certificate
