Chef de Partie | Breakfast Chef

Fellini’s Trattoria is looking for a passionate Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team and help bring our morning service to life.

Located at Howard Smith Wharves, Fellini’s Trattoria is all about relaxed Italian hospitality, delicious food and a buzzing waterfront atmosphere. From perfectly cooked eggs and fresh pastries to Italian-inspired breakfast favourites, we’re looking for someone who loves creating great food and enjoys being part of a fast-paced kitchen.

As our Breakfast Chef, you’ll be responsible for delivering a high-quality breakfast service while keeping your section organised, efficient and running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and cooking breakfast dishes to a consistently high standard
• Running your section confidently during busy morning services
• Preparing fresh ingredients and ensuring your mise en place is service-ready
• Maintaining excellent presentation, quality and portion control
• Working closely with the wider kitchen team to deliver a seamless service
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Supporting with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
• Contributing ideas and bringing your own creativity to the menu

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in a breakfast or high-volume kitchen environment
• A genuine passion for food and hospitality
• Strong understanding of breakfast service and cooking techniques
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly during busy periods
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work
• Reliable, punctual and a positive team player
• Strong communication skills
• Relevant culinary qualifications are highly regarded
